Sewell, and now lies adjacent to the 13th century St. Mary's Church, and proudly overlooking Clissold Park and fashionable Stoke Newington Church Street, with its eclectic mix of boho shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The pub was granted grade II listed status by Historic England in 2015 as a place of special significance Stoke Newington is home to some of the most quaint, independent and specialist bars and shops to be found anywhere in London. So why not pop in, we'd love to see you - we're at 199 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 9ES. Just a thought ...

The guest house comprises 7 charming rooms. Each room has been individually designed, but still retain much of the appeal associated with their original features. All rooms are spacious, beautifully presented and come complete with en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV and WiFi. All of our rooms come with newly fitted Air Con (except the Junior Deluxe). Breakfast is served daily from 7.30. We provide a continental breakfast buffet, cereals, yogurts, and locally baked bread and pastries are on offer. If you prefer something different or have special dietary requirements, just let us know and we will happily supply these as standard. We also have a beautiful roof terrace only available for our hotel guests and is a great way to relax and enjoy the views across London. Night is especially good, and it’s heated so no matter what the weather is you can still enjoy the views.
The pub is an Old-world oaky affair with a giant bay window from which to view the hustle and bustle of Church Street, with a more intimate snug area where you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine whilst relaxing beside a real log fire Real ales and ciders are served along with an extensive wine list, nicely balanced between old and new world, bar snacks and meals are prepared throughout the day with a traditional roast served for Sunday lunch. The pub is frequented by locals, visitors and guests alike, epitomising the great British boozer. We also hold a great quiz. Great prizes including cash, dinner vouchers and wines. All kicks around 8.30 every Tuesday. We recommend to get here earlier to guarantee a good spot.
